PERSONA

Craig Summit, He/Him, 32

Filmmaker and Amateur Climbing Photographer

“I often carry my camera on me so I can shoot whatever I’m seeing, unless actively climbing”

Craig is an active photographer, filmmaker, and climber. As his climbing skills have improved, he wants to combine his passion for photos and the outdoors by taking photos of his friends while they climb. He takes climbing photos mainly for fun, hoping to improve his skills over time. He struggles to find gear made specifically for climbing photography, and the current backpacks are either only for climbing or photography. Because of this, he has to carry a camera bag and a hike back with him as he starts his hike to the climbing route, and managing his camera while he climbs is challenging.

PROBLEM FRAMING

Based on our interviews, extensive desk research, and task analysis, we identified these common pain points and narrowed down the specific pack features that we would incorporate into our final pack.
